GAZA (PIC)– Israeli gunboats at dawn Sunday fired at Palestinian fishing boats off the Gaza Strip shores destroying a number of them according to security sources.
The sources and witnesses said that the IOF gunboats and navy vessels fired shells and opened heavy machinegun fire at fishermen and their boats at the Tal Al-Sultan beach west of Rafah city south of the Strip and at Sudanya beach north of Gaza city.
The sources said that no casualties were reported but a number of the boats were destroyed.
IOF navy boats routinely target Palestinian fishing boats at sea and have kidnapped a number of fishermen and wounded many others in similar shelling and shooting incidents.
