Israeli navy gunboats fired a number of projectiles off the northern Gaza coast on Thursday morning.
Local sources said that the gunboats fired projectiles off the Sudaniya coast to the north west of Gaza City causing huge explosions.
Israeli warplanes had launched two air strikes on the besieged enclave at dawn Thursday with no casualties reported. However civilian homes and property were damaged in the air strikes.
