The Israeli navy boats fired at Palestinian fishermen’s boats off the Rafah shore south of the Gaza Strip on Saturday evening.

The fishermen’s committees said in a press statement that the Israeli gunboats opened their heavy machine-gun fire and fired flare bombs at the Palestinian fishermen while working at Rafah sea.

The Israeli navy harasses Palestinian fishermen off the Gaza shores on a semi-daily basis firing at them arresting them and confiscating their boats and their equipment.

Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen off the northern shores of the Gaza Strip on Monday.

According to local sources Israeli navy boats fired live bullets and teargas bombs at Palestinian fishermen while working at sea forcing them to return ashore.

Earlier in the morning several Israeli military vehicles launched a limited incursion into Palestinian-owned lands east of the Rafah governorate south of the Gaza Strip.

Five Israeli bulldozers and two tanks entered from the Al-Mutabbaq gate east of the Al-Nahda neighborhood east of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip according to Safa news agency.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli bulldozers razed Palestinian-owned lands adjacent to the crossing of Karm Abu Salem amid heavy firing of smoke grenades.

Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen while working off the coasts of northern and southern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning.

Local sources said that the Israeli gunboats chased Palestinian fishing boats off the northern and southern shores of the besieged enclave and opened machinegun fire at them.

They added that the gunboats also opened water cannons at the fishing boats and forced the to return ashore.

The Israeli navy boats harass Palestinian fishermen on semi daily basis and often arrest some of them or sink their boats.

Local sources said that the Israeli gunboats opened fire at the fishing boats and the fishermen while working at sea.

They added that the fishermen were forced to return ashore adding that no casualties were reported.

Palestinian local sources said that there were no initial reports of injuries.

Palestinian fishermen depend on fishing as their only source of livelihood in the Gaza Strip but the Israeli navy continuously attacks their fishing boats preventing them from providing for their families.

GAZA (PIC)– Israeli navy gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishermen and their boats off the coast of Gaza city on Tuesday morning.

Media outlets quoted a fisherman as saying that the gunboats opened fire at the fishermen off Sudaniya coast to the north west of Gaza city while fishing within the six nautical miles allowed area of fishing.

He said that the shooting caused damage to a number of fishing boats but no casualties were reported.

He said that the fishermen were forced to go back to the beach to avoid possible injury.

The Israeli navy targeting of Palestinian fishermen and their boats has become a daily practice.
