An Israeli military court approved on Tuesday the administrative detention of Palestinian lawmaker Ahmed Attoun an exile from Occupied Jerusalem.
According to Palestinian news reports the court in Ofer jail approved a request filed by the Israeli intelligence to detain MP Attoun administratively for four renewable months.
The Israeli occupation forces kidnaped MP Attoun on April 1 2022 from his home in Bethlehem south of the West Bank.
He had been released eight months ago from an Israeli jail following 12 months in administrative detention. He was detained and jailed repeatedly and spent a total of 16 years in different Israeli prisons.
In addition to Attoun there are seven Palestinian lawmakers being held in Israeli jails. They are Mohamed Abu Tir Hasan Yousef Khaled Tafesh Naser Abdul-Jawwad Yasser Mansour Ahmed Sa’daat and Marwan al-Barghouthi.
