Israeli minister calls for assassination of resistance leaders

Friday 11-May-2007

NAZARETH (PIC)—Shaul Mofaz transportation minister and former war minister called for intensifying assassination of resistance faction leaders as a response to the firing of homemade missiles from the Gaza Strip.

Hebrew sources quoted Mofaz as saying: “Israel should respond by re-instituting its campaign of targeted killings against known terrorists in the Gaza Strip.”

Palestinian resistance factions had agreed to a truce in November last year however the Israeli occupation forces continued their atrocities against the Palestinian people especially in the West Bank prompting the Palestinian resistance to retaliate.

Most Palestinian resistance factions expressed willingness to continue with the truce provided the Israeli occupation reciprocates and stops its campaigns of murder against Palestinian people.
