The Israeli municipality issued on Monday a demolition order against Al-Qaqaa Mosque in Ain al-Luza neighborhood in Silwan town in Occupied Jerusalem and set a period of 30 days to object to the decision.
The municipality had issued several notices to demolish the mosque claiming that it was a house. The mosque has an area of 130 square meters and it was built eight years ago and includes two floors. The first is the women’s prayer hall and the second is for men.
Meanwhile the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) handed a demolition notice against the house of Secretary of the Fatah movement Ahmed Al-Abbasi in Silwan in Occupied Jerusalem.
On the other hand the IOF arrested Khalil Zahida and Mansour al-Hindi from their houses in Shuafat refugee camp in Jerusalem and took them to the military checkpoint in the camp.
