Israeli naval forces on Monday chased Palestinian fishing boats sailing off the shore of Rafah City in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Fishermen Committee said that Israeli gunboats surrounded two Palestinian fishing boats and opened fire at them. No injuries were reported.
It added that the fishermen who were aboard were allowed to sail back to the shore after being detained for about an hour.
Earlier on the day Israeli forces opened fire at Palestinian farmers working in their agricultural lands east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip area with no casualties reported.
