Palestinians in al-Zawiyeh village in the northern occupied West Bank were informed on Tuesday about the Israeli army’s decision to seize eight dunums of their land for military purposes.
Zawiyeh mayor Naim Shqeir said on Wednesday that the army handed the confiscation decision to the municipality.
The military order targets 8.242 of local Palestinian land west of the village under the military guise.
Two months ago the Israeli occupation army seized between 140 and 177 dunums of village land to establish a new cemetery for Israeli settlers.
