An Israeli officer was injured during violent clashes on Tuesday evening between Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers at the Beit Einun junction northeast of al-Khalil city in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that the officer was wounded when local young men showered an Israeli military force with stones in the area adding that the officer was evacuated by a military ambulance.
They added that Israeli soldiers responded by firing rubber bullets and volleys of tear gas and stun grenades at the young men.
Earlier local youths hurled stones at settlers’ cars in the area causing material damage to them and triggering skirmishes with soldiers.
