Israeli police have been detaining three Palestinian youths from Umm al-Fahm town in 1948 Occupied Palestine for ten days. The detainees have been held under an administrative detention order signed by Israeli Army Minister Avigdor Lieberman to a period of six months Haaretz Hebrew newspaper reported.
The three Arab young men were arrested from their homes on July 23. It was just a few days ago that their families knew about the fact that their sons have been detained illegally based on no charge or trial.
Lawyer Omar Khamayseh representing two of the captives told Haaretz newspaper that no charges were brought against the three prisoners and the lawyers have not been acquainted with any investigation data due to “secrecy” imposed on their files.
The Israeli central court in Haifa will consider on Monday the approval of the administrative detention order Khamayseh said.
The families of the three captives affirmed that their sons were not involved in any political activism and were not members of any party.
