Israeli police forces on Monday morning assaulted a number of Palestinian women and arrested one of them near al-Qishla detention center in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli police officers violently beat a Palestinian woman identified as Muntaha Amara and arrested her.
Other Palestinian women who were present in the scene were assaulted by the Israeli police.
According to eyewitnesses the women headed to al-Qishla detention center in the early morning hours based on Israeli orders they had received.
The women were ordered to appear before the Israeli police at al-Qishla detention center after the end of their one-week ban from al-Aqsa Mosque.
