Wednesday 26-September-2018

The Israeli occupation police on Tuesday evening arrested two Palestinian citizens in Silwan district east Jerusalem after physically assaulting them.

Quds Press quoted local sources as saying that the Israeli police closed several roads in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas including Silwan to secure Jewish celebrations and marches.

According to these sources an altercation occurred between local residents and Israeli police officers as the latter were blocking roads and escorting a provocative march held by extrimist Jewish settlers on the streets of Silwan (a Palestinian neighborhood).

Soon later the officers embarked on physically assaulting the angry Palestinian citizens in Silwan.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan said that police officers and settlers’ guards shoved and beat citizens and used pepper spray against them.

The center added that the police assaulted and rounded up a father and his son during their presence in front of their store.
