The Israeli occupation police on Wednesday evening kidnaped a Jerusalemite citizen after brutalizing him in the Old City.
Video footage circulated on social media showed a police officer physically assaulting a local young man called Dawoud Qatina in Bab al-Majles area near the Aqsa Mosque.
The young man was detained and hauled to a police detention center in the holy city.
The Old City of Jerusalem has been seeing a police lockdown for several weeks on allegations of fighting the spread of coronavirus. However the police allowed Jewish groups and settlers to celebrate religious occasions in the Old City and defile the Aqsa Mosque on a daily basis during that period.
