Israeli police forces brutally attacked Palestinian youths at Bab al-Amud square in Occupied Jerusalem on Monday evening.
Local sources affirmed that the police forces provocatively stormed Bab al-Amud square and embarked on chasing and assaulting Palestinian young men.
Tear gas and sound bombs were heavily fired with no injuries were reported.
At least three young men and a boy were detained during the events.
This was the third day of police violence in the holy city which is seen as part of Israeli attempts to impose a new fait accompli on the Jerusalemites and prevent their night presence in the areas around the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.
The tension has been rising high after Israeli foreign minister Yair Lapid toured on Sunday evening the Old City’s Bab al-Amud and the area around it amid heavy presence of police forces.
