Israeli police forces blocked the entry of Muslim worshipers from the 1948 Occupied Palestine (Israel) into the Aqsa Mosque at dawn Tuesday at the pretext of “provoking incitement and disturbing calm”.
According to local sources Israeli police stopped a bus from Umm al-Fahm which was heading to the Aqsa Mosque to perform Fajr prayer. The police searched the worshipers and prevented them from completing their way to the Mosque.
The Israeli police also arrested Muhammed Jabbareen and Muhammed Istiti from Akka and Umm al-Fahm while they were heading to the Aqsa Mosque.
Many activists in 1948 Occupied Palestine and Occupied Jerusalem launched campaigns for frequenting the Aqsa Mosque in response to Jewish settlers’ calls for mass desecration of the holy Islamic site.
The Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily break-ins by Jewish settlers under Israeli police guard. Meanwhile Israeli police impose several restrictions on Palestinian visitors to the Mosque.
