The Israeli police said they arrested a Palestinian young man carrying a knife on Wednesday night in Tel Aviv.
A spokeswoman for the police said the young man was arrested following a security report saying he had a knife adding that he would be interrogated by police and Shin Bet officers.
The spokeswoman accused the young man of intending to use the knife to carry out a stabbing attack.
In another incident Israeli border soldiers arrested on the same day a 17-year-old boy from Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil.
Local sources said that soldiers aboard police cars chased Ahmed Abu Jawdah as he was driving a motor bike on a road near Bayt Za’ta area east of Beit Ummar town.
They added that the boy fell off the bike during the pursuit and injured himself before he was rounded up by border policemen.
They also said that the policemen prevented a Red Crescent ambulance crew from providing the kid with medical assistance.
