The Israeli occupation police on Wednesday morning closed Bab al-Amud area in the Old City of Jerusalem and brutalized Palestinian citizens and students.
The Israeli police claimed they closed Bab al-Amud after finding a suspicious object in the area. The same excuse had been used by the police several times before to justify the closure of this area.
Police officers also harassed Palestinian passers-by and arrested a school student after physically assaulting him in Bab al-Amud area.
In a separate incident police forces stormed Silwan district south of the Aqsa Mosque and Jabel Mukaber neighborhood southeast of Jerusalem and kidnapped seven children under age 17 from their homes.
