The Israeli occupation police on Friday closed the sports arena of Beit Safafa in Jerusalem and banned Palestinians from organizing a soccer tournament.
Local sources said that police forces stormed the arena and put up a notice ordering the closure of the playing field and prohibiting local residents from holding a tournament.
The notice which was signed by Israeli security minister Gilad Erdan said he took his decision in this regard because the tournament would be organized in honor of the Palestinian Prisoner Day.
