The Israeli police arrested 70 citizens from various cities and villages in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories over the past 24 hours.
The Hebrew 0404 website quoted a spokesperson for the Israeli police as saying that the arrests took place within the framework of the so-called “Law and Order” campaign.
This campaign aims to arrest hundreds of Palestinians in the 1948 occupied lands because of their participation in the protests against the Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque and Gaza and the attacks on Palestinians in the 1948 occupied Palestine.
The website said that the police decided to extend the campaign for another week to carry out more arrests.
The protests escalated in the Palestinian towns after the killing of Musa Hassouna 31 from Lod by an Israeli man and the unconditional release of the shooter despite being documented by the cameras.
