Israeli police on Saturday kidnapped a Palestinian young man who has been under Israeli-imposed house arrest for a week in al-Isawiya town northeast of Jerusalem.
Local sources reported that the Israeli police stormed al-Isawiya and raided the houses of two Palestinians under house arrest.
One of them identified as Mu’tasem Obeid was arrested after having his house wreaked havoc on by the Israeli police.
House arrest in recent years has been Israel’s favorite policy to further tighten its grip on the Palestinian residents of Jerusalem. It is mainly used against minors under 14 activists political leaders and al-Aqsa Mosque workers.
