The Israeli occupation police on Sunday afternoon kidnaped Jerusalem mayor Adnan Ghaith from his home in Silwan district and issued fines against many Jerusalemites.
According to local sources police forces broke into and ransacked the house of mayor Ghaith before detaining him.
Mayor Ghaith had been arrested and interrogated several times before.
Meanwhile police officers spread through the streets of Ras al-Amud neighborhood in Silwan district and issued fines against local residents for not wearing protective masks.
