The Israeli occupation police kidnaped on Thursday morning Jerusalemite activist Zina Amr 58 from her home in east Jerusalem.
Her son Radwan Amr told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that police officers raided their house in al-Thuri neighborhood in the south of the Aqsa Mosque and kidnaped his mother with no regard for her medical suffering.
He pointed out that his mother was getting prepared to go to a hospital when the police raided the house.
Meanwhile the Israeli police summoned Jerusalemite activist Sahar an-Natsha for interrogation and threatened to storm her house and haul her to a detention center if she refused to comply.
Many Jerusalemite women who are keen on going on daily retreat at the Aqsa Mosque are exposed to systematic persecution by the police especially when there are Israeli intents to allow a large number of extremist Jewish settlers to defile the Islamic holy site during religious occasions.
In recent days the Israeli police issued orders banning a number of Islamic Awqaf employees and Muslim worshipers from entering the Aqsa Mosque for different periods and allowed scores of settlers to desecrate it.
