The Israeli occupation police on Friday evening kidnaped a Palestinian child in Beit Hanina and clashed with young men in Issawiya district east of Jerusalem.
According to local sources Israeli police forces chased a child in the streets of Beit Hanina before bundling him into a patrol car and driving off.
Meanwhile violent clashes broke out last night in Issawiya district between local youths and police forces.
Footage circulated on social media showed Issawiya youths showering police forces with firecrackers while eyewitnesses said that the youths also threw stones and empty bottles at the forces.
The police forces for their part responded by firing volleys of tear gas and stun grenades in the streets of Issawiya.
Israeli police forces for long months have been detaining hundreds of Issawiya residents including minors issuing traffic tickets for spurious infractions serving house demolition orders blocking roads and committing different acts of provocation and violence.
The Israeli campaign against Issawiya is aimed at oppressing and making life miserable for all who live there as part of efforts to push the native residents out of the holy city.
