The Israeli occupation police on Saturday evening kidnaped two Palestinian young men and clashed with others during a campaign in the east Jerusalem district of Issawiya.
According to local sources local youths showered police forces with volleys of firecrackers after they stormed Issawiya and embarked on raiding homes.
Two young men from Issawiya were kidnaped from their homes during the police campaign. They were identified as Mohamed Zakariya and Mohamed Jamal.
A 16-year-old boy from Issawiya was shot dead a few days ago in the Old City of Jerusalem after he carried out a stabbing operation that led to the injury of two police officers.
Since then the Israeli police have escalated their raids on Issawiya homes.
Meanwhile Israeli forces on the same day set up a makeshift checkpoint at the main entrance to Ni’lin town in western Ramallah and embarked on intercepting cars for security check.
