Israeli police kidnap two young men one girl in J’lem

Tuesday 1-June-2021

The Israeli occupation police on Monday evening kidnaped two Palestinian young men and one girl in east Jerusalem.

According to local sources police stormed Batn al-Hawa neighborhood in Silwan district south of the Aqsa Mosque and kidnaped a young man identified as Adnan al-Rajbi.

Police forces also kidnaped another young man identified as Ayham al-Za’anin after ransacking his home in as-Sa’diya neighborhood in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Meanwhile a Palestinian girl was reportedly kidnaped by police officers outside the Aqsa Mosque particularly during her presence at al-Amud Gate.

In a separate incident a horde of extremist Jewish settlers performed Talmudic prayers in the east Jerusalem neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in an attempt to provoke Palestinian citizens there after they finished performing al-Maghrib (sunset) prayer.

Recently Sheikh Jarrah has been the site of protests and clashes with police and settlers as dozens of Palestinians living there are facing Israeli attempts to forcibly expel them from their homes to make way for Jewish settlers.

Palestinians living in the flashpoint neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah have also been placed recently under police siege.

For weeks the Israeli police have been preventing non-residents from entering the neighborhood to show solidarity with the Palestinian families facing forced eviction attempts.

As a result of this situation the Palestinian residents have limited their movement and often stay at home because if they leave the neighborhood the Israeli police sometimes will not allow them to return.

In the meantime settlers some of them armed are allowed to move freely and act provocatively in the neighborhood.
