Israeli police officers shot and killed a 20-year-old Palestinian youth in the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday morning after he allegedly stabbed two policemen.
Hebrew media reported that Amer Halabia from Abu Dis in Occupied Jerusalem carried out a stabbing attack that injured two policemen while a third was wounded by “friendly fire” near the Bab al-Majlas one of the Aqsa Mosque’s gates.
Family sources said that Halabia was an engineering student at the Bir Zeit University.
Israeli police said in a terse statement that three policemen were injured in the incident including one with a bullet in his leg by “friendly fire” adding that their conditions were not serious.
