Israeli police prevent Sheikh Khatib from entering Aqsa

Sunday 10-December-2017

The Israeli police on Sunday prevented the deputy head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied Palestine Sheikh Kamal al-Khatib from entering al-Aqsa Mosque.

Khatib said in press statements that the Israeli policemen at Bab al-Asbat prevented him from entering the Mosque for the noon prayer.

He added that an Israeli officer ordered him not to take photos or speak to journalists as a condition to allow him to enter the Mosque but he refused.

Sheikh Khatib pointed out that the decision was made immediately through coordination between the officer and the Israeli police chief despite the fact that the latest ban imposed on him had just expired.

He stressed that al-Aqsa Mosque will always belong to Muslims only despite the Israeli aggressions and restrictions.

Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed al-Aqsa Mosque during the morning and afternoon hours on Sunday under the protection of the Israeli policemen.
