Israeli police stormed the town of Silwan south of Al-Aqsa Mosque on Saturday evening to protect Jewish settlers’ raids into the holy site.
Local sources told WAFA news agency that tens of Israeli military vehicles stormed Al-Bustan neighborhood in Silwan on the sixth day of the so-called “Jewish Throne Day” to facilitate settlers’ incursion.
In a related development the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) searched a Palestinian home after storming the village of Deir Jarir east of the West Bank city of Ramallah.
Security sources reported that IOF soldiers searched a house which is still under construction near Deir Jarir village belonging to the Palestinian citizen Hasib Khudeir.
Earlier on Friday Qais Imad Shejaia from Deir Jarir village was shot dead by Israeli gunfire near Jalazun refugee camp north of Ramallah according to the Palestinian ministry of health.
