Israeli police settlers defile Al-Aqsa courtyards

Tuesday 26-January-2021

The Israeli occupation police and groups of settlers resumed their storming into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Tuesday morning despite the continued comprehensive lockdown imposed on the holy city. They performed Talmudic rituals under tight security measures.

Jerusalemite sources reported that 11 settlers broke into the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning period of the daily incursions. Two Israeli policemen defiled the prayer hall of the Qibli Mosque.

The Israeli occupation authorities continue to block maintenance and repair works in the holy Islamic site for the fourth consecutive day.

The storming was carried out from the Maghareba Gate to the al-Silsila Gate passing through the al-Rahma Gate area during which Jewish settlers performed Talmudic rituals.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is witnessing daily except on Fridays and Saturdays incursions and violations by settlers and the occupation police and in two shifts in the morning and evening.

The Israeli police allowed the incursions despite the continued complete lockdown and heavy rains in the holy city. Meanwhile strict measures are imposed on Jerusalemites wishing to access the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Calls continue for all Muslims in 1948 Occupied Palestine and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to intensify their presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque to repel the Jewish settlers’ incursions.
