Israeli police summon pro-Aqsa activist Halawani

Sunday 5-April-2020

The Israeli occupation police on Sunday summoned pro-Aqsa activist Hinadi Halawani for interrogation at the Qishleh detention center in the holy city.

In press remarks Halawani said that everything came to a halt in Jerusalem because of coronavirus except for Israeli violations against the holy city the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalemite citizens.

Police forces and intelligence officers stormed the house of Halawani on March 22 and summoned her for interrogation but later they postponed the summons.

Recently the Israeli interior ministry banned Halawani from traveling abroad indefinitely citing security concerns.

Halawani is one of many Jerusalemite women who are keen on going on daily retreat at the Aqsa Mosque but their entry to the holy site have been banned on allegations that they obstruct police work and settlers’ tours at the Mosque.
