A bid put forth by the Israeli Likud Party called for granting the Palestinians sovereignty over 40% only of the Israeli-occupied Area C.
Israeli MK Yoav Kisch who proposed the bid said he asked Benjamin Netanyahu to take note of the details of the plan but the PM told him to speak about the issue after January 20 following US president-elect Donald Trump’s swearing-in ceremony.
According to the plan the PA is to be robbed of any security privilege and the Palestinians will only be granted the right to self-determination in health trade finance agriculture education and transportation among other facilities.
The rest of the occupied West Bank —60%– will be grabbed by the Israelis at the same time as the settlement outposts illegally built on Palestinian lands in the area will continue to serve as safe sanctuaries for the Israelis.
The most dangerous aspect of the bid lies in the fact that it excludes Palestinian refugees both from territories of projected self-rule and those run by the Israeli occupation.
As for Occupied Jerusalem the scheme pushes for keeping the holy city under full Israeli control.
