An Israeli settler was killed in an alleged stabbing attack on Wednesday afternoon in Petah Tikva area near Tel Aviv.

Israeli media reports said that a 35-year-old settler was stabbed by a Palestinian man in Petah Tekva.

The stabbed settler suffered serious injuries before he was pronounced dead later at the hospital.

Yedioth Ahronoth said that the suspect was arrested and taken for interrogation by the Shin Bet.

An Israeli settler was killed on Sunday in an alleged stabbing attack near Gush Etzion settlement north of the West Bank city of al-Khalil.

Israeli media sources earlier reported that a settler was seriously injured in a stabbing attack near Gush Etzion adding that the attacker was shot by Israeli soldiers.

Hebrew TV channel Seven claimed that the attack was carried out by a 17-year-old Palestinian from Yatta town in al-Khalil who suffered a serious injury too.

Israeli medical sources described the injured settler’s condition as “critical” and “close to a clinical death” before he succumbed to his wounds later.

Hamas praised the attack and said that it comes in response to Israel’s ongoing violations at al-Aqsa Mosque and confirms the fact that resistance is Palestinians’ only choice.
