Israeli settler kills Palestinian injures another in Nablus

An Israeli settler on Wednesday morning shot dead a Palestinian young man in Beita town in the West Bank province of Nablus.

Israel’s Beilinson Hospital confirmed the death of Mohammed Abdul-Fattah a resident of Salfit after he suffered serious live bullet wounds.

An Israeli settler opened fire at Abdul-Fattah near Beita town over an alleged stabbing attempt. The settler shot another Palestinian who was in the scene and his injury was described as moderate.

Spokesman for the Palestinian Red Crescent Society Ahmad Jibreel said that a Palestinian named Khaled Rawajbeh 22 was transferred to Rafidia Hospital for treatment after he was shot in the abdomen.

As for Abdul-Fattah Jibreel added he was evacuated to an Israeli hospital where he was announced dead shortly after.

Eyewitnesses said that the shooter blocked the road with his vehicle preventing Abdul-Fattah a truck driver from moving and when the latter got out of his vehicle the settler opened fire at him.

The other Palestinian who was in the same place was injured by a stray bullet fired by the armed settler the witnesses added.
