TULKARM (PIC)– Israeli settlers from Kibbutz Metzer and Harish settlement started fires in Palestinian lands in Akaba village north of Tulkarm district only a few days after settlers in a similar incident burnt 80 dunums of lands in Ramin village in the same district.
Tayseer Amarane the village council chairman said that the village’s total area is around 2500 dunums explaining that the fire that continued till a late hour Tuesday burnt 150 dunums.
He noted that the lands which were set ablaze fell beyond the racist separation wall that separated the villagers’ from their lands.
He appealed to all concerned parties to intervene and halt the settlers’ attacks which target controlling those lands and forcing their owners to emigrate.
