Hordes of Israeli settlers on Saturday stormed Palestinian lands threatened with confiscation in Wadi Rababa neighborhood in Silwan town in Occupied Jerusalem.
Israeli occupation authorities and settlers have been attempting for years to seize vast tracts of Palestinian land in Wadi Rababa for settlement expansion under the pretext that they are “absentees’ property”.
Lately the Israeli authorities have ordered the confiscation of 60 dunums of land in Wadi Rababa in favor of the construction of a bridge between al-Thawri and Nabi Dawood areas.
Local residents said that groups of Israeli settlers stormed the targeted lands on Saturday and carried out provocative tours in the area.
