Hordes of Israeli settlers on Saturday attacked Palestinian fields and chopped off dozens of olive trees in al-Mughayyir village in the West Bank district of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that Israeli settlers cut down over 40 olive trees owned by Palestinian farmers Rawhi Na’san and Samir Abu Alya.
The same sources said that Israeli occupation forces invaded the area provided protection to the settlers as they withdrew and prevented Palestinian citizens from entering their fields to inspect the damage.
Al-Mughayyir located 27 km to the northeast of Ramallah City is one of the most affected West Bank villages by settler attacks.
According to official statistics over the past four months Israeli settler gangs have committed over 700 violations in the West Bank raiding villages assaulting citizens destroying property and cutting trees.
