Israeli settlers have seized a Palestinian shop owned by the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in the Old City of al-Khalil.
Head of the legal department at the Hebron (al-Khalil) Rehabilitation Committee Tawfiq Jahshan said that the shop is leased by the Ministry of Awqaf to the Palestinian citizen Abu Khaled Abu Eisha.
Jahshan said that the settlers closed the main door to the shop located near the illegal settlement of Abraham Avino prompting Abu Eisha to file a complaint through the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee with the Israeli police.
However Jahshan added the Israeli police kept stalling and making false claims to prevent the tenant and committee from filing a complaint. He said the committee will continue with the legal process to get the shop back.
