A Palestinian young man on Friday night suffered injuries and bruises in different parts of his body when Israeli soldiers physically assaulted him on a road near a settlement in southern Bethlehem.
The young man was identified as Jihad Zawahreh from the village of Masara in southern Bethlehem.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli soldiers detained and assaulted Zawahreh at the rotary of the illegal settlement of Efrat which was built on annexed lands belonging to Palestinian villages and towns in southern Bethlehem.
They added that the soldiers embarked on brutally beat Zawahreh with their rifle butts and caused him to suffer injuries and bruises.
Later the young man was transferred to Beit Jala Hospital where he received medical assistance.
