Recent reports by Israeli sources have revealed new data about an anti-occupation stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian young man identified as Abdul Karim Asi in Salfit.
According to Yedioth Ahronot newspaper Asi showed up at the attack scene on Sunday and quarreled with Israeli soldiers.
Israeli soldiers arrested Asi for a while following the squabble and released him after they found out that he was a holder of Israeli identity documents.
Asi allegedly scrutinized the scene very well before he returned the following day and stabbed an Israeli rabbi called Itamar Ben-Gal.
Hebrew-speaking sources said his mother is an Israeli-Arab from Haifa and his father is from Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
