Israeli stop-building and demolition orders in Tulkarem O. J’lem

The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) issued Sunday evening stop-building orders against five Palestinian-owned houses in Tulkarem north of West Bank.

Local sources affirmed that Israeli forces stormed Ezbet Shufa south-east of Tulkarem and delivered stop-building orders against five houses for being built in Israeli-controlled Area C.

Owners of the notified houses declared intention to appeal against the Israeli orders.

Meanwhile Israeli municipality in occupied Jerusalem issued demolition orders against a number of Jerusalemite residential facilities in Jabal Mukaber neighborhood under the pretext of being built without permit.

The municipality gave the notified houses’ owners 30 days to appeal against the orders.

The local activist Rasim Abeidat affirmed in a brief statement that Jabal Mukaber has been targeted by Israeli authorities for more than two months where dozens of dunums were confiscated for the expansion of the neighboring illegal settlement of Zahava Zion.

The systematic Israeli targeting of Jabal Mukaber neighborhood came as part of Israel’s collective punishment policy he added.

In 2016 Israeli authorities demolished 1023 Palestinian houses in West Bank and Jerusalem while 657 others were threatened with demolition. 302 of the demolished houses were funded by donor countries.
