Israeli war minister survives Qassam explosion

Thursday 16-November-2006

Nazareth – The Palestinian Qassam missiles that slammed into Sderot to the north of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday barely missed the house of Israeli war minister Amir Peretz whose bodyguard was seriously wounded in the attack.

Despite the media blackout imposed by the Israeli war ministry on the location where the missiles fall yet Hebrew media sources revealed that two of the homemade rockets slammed into a street in front of Peretz’s house.

They said that a woman was killed in the explosion while Peretz’s 24-year-old bodyguard was seriously wounded other than inflicting material damage to buildings.

The Qassam Brigades armed wing of the Hamas Movement took the credit for firing two “upgraded” missiles at Sderot Wednesday morning.

The armed wing stressed that it would continue to fire missiles at Israeli settlements in retaliation to the IOF troops’ unending crimes and massacres in lines of the Palestinian people.
