Israeli warplanes launched on Thursday morning a series of mock raids on the Gaza Strip causing a state of panic among the residents.

Palestinian media sources said that the sounds of strong blasts were heard in different areas in the besieged Strip.

A state of panic and fear spread among the people of Gaza especially that the mock raids came as Israeli violations escalate along the borderlines.

GAZA (PIC)– Israeli warplanes launched a series of mock raids on different areas of the Gaza Strip on Monday morning.

The PIC reporter quoted locals as saying that they heard loud explosions in different areas of the Strip which later turned out to be the result of Israeli F-16s breaking the sound barrier.

The mock raids constitute part of the psychological warfare waged by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip after calm was restored recently to the eastern borders of the enclave following three days of intermittent clashes.

For his part a Palestinian security source said that the sounds of explosions heard in Gaza were the result of Israeli mock raids in which the warplanes usually break the sound barrier only to terrorize the inhabitants.

A series of Israeli aerial raids last Tuesday night inflicted heavy material losses but no casualties were reported.

A local source told Quds Press that Israeli F-16s flew at low altitudes over the coastal enclave and broke the sound barrier causing loud sounds of explosions.

He added that intensified presence of Israeli aircraft was monitored all over the Gaza Strip.
