GAZA (PIC)– Israeli helicopter gunships fired a number of missiles at east of Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza Strip on Tuesday after a group of resistance fighters blasted an explosive device in an Israeli armored vehicle.
Israeli occupation forces clashed with the resistance unit before IOF choppers sprayed the area with heavy machinegun fire.
The resistance fired four mortar shells at the IOF troops.
On Monday a Palestinian woman succumbed to her wounds sustained in the IOF three-week war on Gaza. Palestinian medical sources said that Ghada Abu Halima died in one of the Egyptian hospitals bringing the number of victims of the Gaza war to 1340 other than 5500 wounded some 300 of them are in very critical conditions.
The IOF soldiers at the Erez crossing north of the Gaza Strip refused to allow the travel of four Palestinians from Gaza to the West Bank en route to Jordan to attend a Palestinian youth forum. They included a journalist and a caricaturist.
In Um Al-Faham town in Palestine occupied in 1948 the Israeli police detained eight Palestinians bringing the number of young men arrested in this city to 38 some of whom were released.
The police campaign in Um Al-Faham followed popular protests at a march organized by the Israeli far right in the city.
