Israeli warplanes strike several areas in Gaza

Israeli occupation army on Saturday afternoon launched new airstrikes on Palestinian resistance posts agricultural lands and empty areas in the Gaza Strip.

Local sources told the PIC reporter that explosions were heard in various areas of the Gaza Strip as Israeli drones flew above.

According to medical sources there were no casualties in the attacks but the houses neighboring the targeted areas suffered severe damages.

Minutes after the aerial attacks the Palestinian resistance responded by firing a volley of projectiles at Israeli settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip.

Hebrew media sources said that three buildings in Netiv HaAsara and Eshkol settlements were hit by rockets fired from Gaza.

Maariv newspaper said that dozens of mortar shells fired from Gaza hit areas in Eshkol and Ashkelon.

Other Hebrew sources reported that 70 projectiles have been launched from the Gaza Strip since the escalation started claiming that the Israeli Iron Dome system intercepted 12 of them.

In a related development the Hebrew TV channel Two claimed that an Israeli army force was targeted with an anti-tank rocket east of Gaza with no injuries caused.

Israeli warplanes at dawn Saturday bombed several sites in the Gaza Strip prompting the Palestinian resistance to retaliate by firing a number of projectiles at different Israeli targets.

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that the Israeli army ordered Israelis living in settlements neighboring the Gaza Strip to stay close to the shelters after clashes flared anew between the army and Palestinian resistance.
