The official Syrian news agency SANA quoted a military source as saying that the “Israeli enemy” launched air strikes on southern Damascus on Monday evening.
The source said that the Israeli aggression targeted a number of areas to the south of the capital Damascus adding that the Syrian air defense forces “confronted the missiles and shot down most of them.”
He pointed out that the aggression losses were limited to what he described as “material damage” without any other details.
During the past years Israel launched hundreds of air strikes on Syria targeting army sites in addition to Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah positions.
