Israeli warships discharged machinegun bulletfire toward Palestinian fishing boats setting sail within the allowed six-nautical-mile zone and posing no threat to the occupation navy.
Palestinian fishermen in the blockaded Gaza Strip have been ceaselessly targeted by the Israeli navy on a quasi-daily basis as they put out to sea in the hunt for livelihoods to feed their families in the besieged enclave.
For thousands of Gazans fishing is the only source of living in an area blockaded by the Israeli occupation from air land and sea for over a decade’s time.
