The Israeli military watchtower at the main entrance to Beit Ummar town in al-Khalil caught fire last night after local young men attacked it with Molotov cocktails.
Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) that several Molotov cocktails directly hit the watchtower setting it on fire.
The arson attack on the military post happened during the violence that broke out following the intensive deployment of Israeli troops at the entrances to Beit Ummar town.
The Israeli army intensified its presence in the area in the aftermath of the vehicular attack that rendered three soldiers wounded.
