The Israeli occupation police on Saturday evening violently suppressed a peaceful sit-in staged in Jerusalem in solidarity with Palestinian prisoners.
According to local sources Israeli police forces attacked participants in the rally in Salahuddin street with stun and tear gas grenades and rounded up a Jerusalemite young man after assaulting him.
The solidarity sit-in was called for by the Jerusalem Youth Movement to highlight the issue of the Palestinian hunger strikers and Jordanian prisoner Hiba al-Labadi who has been on hunger strike for 33 days.
