Two Palestinian workmen suffered bullet injuries on Thursday morning when Israeli soldiers opened fire at them near the military gate in Barta’a village west of Jenin in the West Bank.
Red Crescent official Mahmoud al-Saadi said that Israeli soldiers at the gate leading to Israel in Barta’a opened fire at two young workers as they were trying to cross from that area into the 1948 occupied lands.
The workers suffered injuries in their legs. They were identified as Ahmed Nawasreh 24 Omar Obeid 23.
Saadi added that the soldiers took the wounded workers to Barta’a checkpoint after interrogating them and handed them over to a Palestinian ambulance crew.
In recent weeks many West Bank workmen suffered bullet injuries during their attempts to reach workplaces inside Israel.
