Jerusalem Mufti Sheikh Mohammed Husein on Sunday warned of the repercussions of the US decision to move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem on the anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba.
Sheikh Husein in a statement described the US decision as a blatant aggression on the Palestinian people and holy sites.
He stressed that this arbitrary decision which violates all international conventions which consider Jerusalem an occupied territory would drag the region into chaos and instability.
He called on Arabs Muslims and peace advocates around the world to stand against the US biased policies and pressure it to backtrack on its Jerusalem move.
